LESTER BRUNT WEALTH MANAGEMENT - Key Persons
I like being an adviser because of the difference I make to people
I spent over 10 years working as a telecoms manager in London before I made the realisation that I wasn't doing what I loved. I made a career move into the financial industry to follow my passion, and in 2015 I first started as a Senior Personal Banker in NatWest closer to home and family back in Salisbury. I became an adviser in 2018, after taking my Financial Planning Diploma, and joined the Lester Brunt team in 2019.
Job Titles:
- Personal Assistant for Ellis Mallett
I can't imagine what else I would be doing if I wasn't an adviser.
I joined Lester Brunt right at the beginning, as one of our original advisers, and as the company has grown I've grown with it! I left school and joined Abbey National as a cashier and I've been an adviser since I was 22, starting as a mortgage adviser all the way back in 1990. So I've been advising for a long, long time.
Job Titles:
- Senior Client Support Specialist
Job Titles:
- Chartered Financial Adviser
I describe my job as the satnav that helps clients get from point A to Z on their journey.
I love my job. I qualified as an adviser five years ago and joined Lester Brunt Wealth Management as a Chartered Financial Adviser last year, after almost a decade as a director in telecommunications. I really feel I have found my life's passion in providing financial advice which positively contributes to the lifestyle of my clients.
I absolutely love my job. I'm so passionate about helping people, I have found what I was made to do in life.
I absolutely love my job. I joined Lester Brunt in 2018, after 13 years as a Financial Planning Manager in a bank, (and a brief stint as an air hostess) and I couldn't be happier! I love how I get to meet lots of different people and help them allay their fears and worries about finance.
Job Titles:
- Ambassador
- Ambassador / Business Support Staff
After starting my career in investment banking, I came to realise that I was lacking the face to face interaction with clients that I now love. This led me to join Lester Brunt Wealth Management in 2017, where I completed my adviser qualifications. I am currently based in the South West of London and see clients across the south.
Job Titles:
- Managing Director
- Member of the Senior Management Team
I love what I do! As Managing Director at Lester Brunt Wealth Management, I am responsible for over 40 colleagues and, more importantly, over 4,500 client relationships. With a background in finance and banking, I know that a measured, intelligent and balanced approach is essential but I enjoy the creativity that I can demonstrate, especially in the changing and challenging times that we currently find ourselves in as a society. Outside of work, my time is spent with a horse mad wife, three daughters and a crazy cocker spaniel. I have my hands full but do occasionally get to hack a ball around the golf course.
Job Titles:
- Head of Learning and Compliance
Job Titles:
- Chartered Financial Adviser
I initially trained with the Lester Brunt Technical Department in early 2018, before becoming a fully qualified Financial Adviser in March 2020 and receiving additional qualifications in Mortgages, Long Term Care and Equity Release. In March 2023 I achieved my 'big plan' of being a Chartered Financial adviser, a goal I set myself 3 years ago. I am a holistic adviser, offering support across all areas of financial planning, but specifically enjoy helping clients with Inheritance Tax and pension and retirement planning. I am based in Guildford and Surrey but am regularly in the Southwest for work and to visit family.

Providing long-term value and building lasting relationships is what gives me the motivation to keep pushing myself to become the best.
My first job in the finance industry was in a bank, and I worked there for four years before making the decision to take on a bigger challenge and begin my adviser training. I have recently joined the Lester Brunt team and am looking forward to starting my training to qualify as a financial adviser, through the St. James's Place Adviser Academy.
Job Titles:
- Personal Assistant for Christopher Arundel
I got my start in the financial services industry 25 years ago, when I joined Abbey National as a cashier. I worked my way up through all of the service areas, before becoming a financial adviser with them in 2001 and bank manager in 2013. I joined Lester Brunt in 2017, gaining experience as a paraplanner before re-learning the ropes as a financial adviser 18 months later. I really enjoy talking to clients, hearing their stories and future plans and then developing a relationship over the long term, which makes a genuine difference to the day-to-day living of clients.
I am genuinely enthusiastic about engaging with clients and connecting with people.
Forming a strong relationship with a client and then being able to help them plan for their future is massively rewarding. I am genuinely enthusiastic about engaging with clients and connecting with people. The best part about being an adviser is hearing stories and putting plans together, which all sounds very cheesy, but that is genuinely the best part of it, when you know you've made a difference to someone. Every client is on their own journey and you don't see the contribution you've made until you've established a relationship, so you tend to see the results later on. I enjoy the whole meeting; talking to people, getting to know them, but the best bit is seeing the advice in action, when a client can do something that they wouldn't have been able to do without the right advice.
"The best part about being an adviser is hearing stories and putting plans together."
I've worked within the financial industry for all of my career and almost 40 years. My first job after leaving school began in NatWest in 1983 and I worked in the various departments during my time there, going on to join St. James's Place Wealth Management as a Financial Adviser in 1997. I now work dual roles as a paraplanner and a financial adviser, joining Lester Brunt in 2017.
Job Titles:
- Client Support Specialist
I have over 20 years of experience helping families to plan for their financial futures and achieve their goals. I am enthusiastic about developing trust with my clients and aim to create long-lasting and trusted relationships by providing bespoke financial recommendations, intending to bridge the 'advice gap' by making financial advice accessible to everyone. I make my client meetings friendly, jargon-free and relaxed, so clients can learn to better understand their finances at their own pace.

Martin and I set up Lester Brunt back in 2013 with a simple goal in mind; to help clients achieve their objectives, their goals, their ambitions, through building long lasting relationships built on trust and quality advice. I'm proud to say after nearly 10 years together we have helped over 4,500 do just that, and will continue to do that for many years to come! Outside of work I enjoy spending time with the family, with the children, grandchildren and my wife, Alison. As a family, we all enjoy travelling - both in the UK and abroad and when we can we like to spend the summers in Spain.
Job Titles:
- Personal Assistant for Toby Winyard
Job Titles:
- Chartered Financial Adviser
After finishing a degree in Mathematics, I began working within Financial Services in 2013, joining the family business whilst it was still in its infancy. I have since gone on to become a Chartered Financial Planner, whereby I have satisfied rigorous criteria relating to professional qualifications and ethical good practice. As a client, this means you can be confident that you are dealing with one of the UK's leading advisers, who is wholly committed to providing you with the best possible advice, service and support.
I qualified as an adviser in April 2017, after being a mortgage adviser for five years. I love working within the finance industry because I enjoy helping people and I am proud that I am able to make a positive difference to the lives of my clients. Educating clients on their finances in a beneficial way can really transform lives and telling someone that they could potentially retire now when they didn't think they could is one of the best pieces of news to share.
Not everyone needs a drummer...but everyone should have a conversation with a financial adviser.
I am extremely proud to be an appointed Financial Adviser, graduate of the St. James's Place Financial Adviser Academy and the Lester Brunt Wealth Management training program. My journey into the financial industry started as a passion project in August 2019, which turned into a full-time commitment due to the world events of 2020. After joining Lester Brunt Wealth Management in September 2020, I set myself a target to sit all six industry-standard exams by February 2022, which is a target that I hit.
