In a short span of time, APP's membership has grown, and now stands at 27, with the leading private power developers in the country and also includes the major private entities in distribution and transmission. APP is the industry's premier think tank, and our members constitute over 90% of the existing and planned power capacity in the private sector. In the 12th plan period, about 65% of the power capacity installation was from the private sector.
