Alexis Devine is dedicated to creating access to job opportunities for underrepresented populations and providing the skills to sustain employment. In 2004, Devine co-created Lifespan's nationally recognized Summer Youth Employment (SYE) program, which hires at-risk youth to work paid summer jobs in Lifespan affiliates and attend work-readiness training. In addition, Devine designed the Lifespan Workforce Solutions, Training, and Teamwork (S.T.A.T.) program in 2013. The S.T.A.T. program is modeled after SYE; however, it serves unemployed adults and offers free education and on-the-job learning to become certified for hard-to-fill healthcare positions. The S.T.A.T. programs are fully comprehensive, offering on-site learning, job skill training, financial support for barriers to employment, and case management services.
In her nearly 20 years at Lifespan, Devine secured over five million dollars in private and state funding to serve 2,200 Rhode Islanders from underserved communities. She has a passion for addressing barriers to employment, providing support services, improving outcomes for those in need through employment and the diversifying healthcare workforce. She is known to say, "Jobs save lives and provide a sense of purpose, belonging, and self-efficacy."
Prior to joining Lifespan, Devine earned her bachelor of arts in public health from Brown University. Devine has continued her connection with Brown University as an assistant faculty member at The Warren Alpert Medical School.

Before moving to the United States, Valerio was a practicing physician in the Dominican Republic. For the past four years, Valerio has worked as part of the Respiratory and Immunology Center team. Her responsibilities include recruitment, program development and facilitating educational workshops in Spanish. She also coordinates the Hispanic asthma support group for parents of children with asthma. She is a recognized leader among Providence's burgeoning Latino community and serves on board of directors for the HELP Lead Safe Center and Childhood Lead Action Project. Valerio has a son with asthma.

Arianna Wolanski earned her bachelor's degree in public health sciences from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is currently pursuing a master's in healthcare administration from Suffolk University. Prior to joining the team, Wolanski was a case manager assisting homeless young adults in securing housing and intervening in times of crisis to assist and connect clients with the appropriate resources. In her current role at Lifespan, she is a program coordinator for the Workforce S.T.A.T. Nursing Assistant and Pharmacy Technician programs.

Arthur J. Sampson has been named interim president and CEO of Lifespan, effective June 1, 2022.
Sampson was formerly president and chief executive officer of The Miriam Hospital and president and chief executive officer of Newport Hospital. Before his time at Newport Hospital, he served in various senior executive positions at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Sampson holds a master's degree in health care administration from the George Washington University and served administrative residencies at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and Union-Truesdale Hospital (now Charlton Memorial Hospital) in Fall River, Massachusetts. Sampson is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Cedric Priebe, MD, is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Lifespan Corporation. He was the CIO at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, and the Brigham and Women's Physician Organization (2014-2015), where he was responsible for the implementation of the Epic system; and he held Chief Medical Information Officer and CIO roles at the Care New England Health System (2004-2014) prior to joining Lifespan. He also held leadership positions with IDX Systems Corporation (1996-2001), Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, and McKesson Health Solutions. He is a 1984 graduate of Harvard College and a 1988 graduate of Harvard Medical School. Dr. Priebe is a pediatrician and has supervised and taught pediatric residents and medical students as clinical faculty at Harvard Medical School and The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Crista F. Durand was appointed President of Newport Hospital in 2014. She was previously vice president of strategic planning, marketing, and business development at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, Connecticut. She holds a bachelor's degree in financial management from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island and a master's in business administration from Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

David Kirshner is executive vice president and chief financial officer for Lifespan Corporation. He oversees the budget for the health system and serves as senior finance executive for all Lifespan hospitals and affiliates. Mr. Kirshner holds a bachelor of arts from University of Pittsburgh and a master of business administration in health care administration and management from Boston University. He is a certified public accountant.

G. Alan Kurose, MD is president of Coastal Medical and senior vice president for primary care and population health for Lifespan.
Dr. Kurose was one of the founders of Coastal Medical in 1995 and practiced primary care internal medicine for 20 years. He has been president of Coastal Medical since 2008. Dr. Kurose continually explores new strategies to deliver high quality, cost-effective, and patient centered care.
Dr. Kurose is also active in the community, serving on the board of Healthcentric Advisors and as chairman of the board of the Rhode Island Foundation. He also serves as a co-chair of the RI Cost Trends Steering Committee.
In his role as a senior vice president at Lifespan, Dr. Kurose shapes and advances the overall primary care and population health strategy for the system.
Dr. Kurose is a graduate of the Washington University School of Medicine, the Brown University Internal Medicine Residency Training Program, and the Yale MBA for Executives Program. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Health Services, Policy & Practice at Brown University.
