FDI was founded by Rick Adkins, Cindy Conger, Barry Corkern, and Larry Waschka in 1999. Karron Wages joined the firm in 2005 and later became a shareholder/owner. Since then, Rick Adkins and Cindy Conger have served on the Executive Board and Investment Committee for FDI, as well as managed their own separate investment advisory firms. In 2018, Cindy Conger began implementing a succession plan for her firm, Conger Wealth Management, by partnering with Advisory Alpha, another investment advisory firm.
