LANCING COLLEGE

Lancing College was founded by Nathaniel Woodard in 1848 and was the first of the Woodard Schools to be established in the UK. The Old Lancing Club was founded in 1878 for the benefit of former Lancing College pupils known as OLs. Today, on leaving the College, every Lancing pupil automatically becomes a member of the OL Club, which has over 8,000 members including more than 1,300 living outside the UK. Girls started to enter the school in 1978, so there are now more than 1,500 women OLs... Lancing College is a co-educational boarding and day school for 13 to 18 year olds. Our pupils come to Lancing from across the South East, from London and from around the world. They become part of a caring community with stretching horizons and ambitious goals. We build on pupils' strengths and ensure every child achieves their full potential...
