Helen qualified from Newcastle University in 2000 and was awarded the John Hopkins prize. Helen has worked in General Dental Practice since then. In 2009, she became an Educational Supervisor for newly qualified dentists to support and mentor them in their first year of their careers. In 2015, Helen then became a Training Program Director for Health Education North East and North Cumbria. This involves further mentoring, support, assessment and coaching of dentists during the early part of their careers. Helen has worked at Verne Road since May 2011 and really enjoys making her patients feel relaxed in the dental environment, as well as listening and addressing their specific needs. Helen moved to New Smile Company in 2020. She is keen to cultivate strong patient relationships underpinned by trust and understanding and provide excellent patient care. When not busy in practice, Helen loves going on family outings with her husband and two daughters. Helen lives in Tynemouth and especially enjoys spending time at the beautiful local beaches.
