UNTIDY BITS

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects... I'm someone whose life hasn't proceeded in a straight line. There have been many twists and turns. Can you relate?... A little bit about me: I'm a classical languages scholar, a technologist and an evolving human being. I was raised Catholic and still have an affinity for some of Catholicism's beautiful teachings and a sadness at what has happened to the Church in modern times. I also love the teachings of Sufism and A Course In Miracles. I was probably a monk in at least one past life. Go figure.
