John Moore

Dr. Moore earned his B.A. in Biology from the University of Virginia and his PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Moore then carried out postdoctoral training in genetics at the University of California, Berkeley. After two years as an Assistant Professor at Bard College in New York, he joined Burroughs Wellcome/GlaxoSmithKline in the early 90s. He spent over 20 years at GSK leading a variety of departments involved in drug discovery research, including the Target and Pathway Validation Group and the Explorative Biology Group. Dr. Moore has extensive experience in drug discovery and broad knowledge in of biomedical research. He has been serving as a consultant for several pharmaceutical companies since his departure from GSK. Dr. Moore has over 50 publications and 8 patent applications. He has excellent writing skills and understands both basic research and applied research projects as well as medically-related topics. Dr. Moore has been working with several local universities as a writer/editor and has helped spin-off companies with SBIR grant writing and preparation. In his spare time, Dr. Moore enjoys running, swimming and playing music. We are honored to have Dr. Moore to be part of the GEHCC team to provide a high standard of writing and editing service.
