Juliette Wheler

  • Registered Massage Therapist ( RMT )
I grew up in the prairie town of Saskatoon, SK and have spent some time as a wildland firefighter and in bike sales and mechanics before landing in Vernon, BC to attend the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2019. I was moved to pursue a career in healthcare and rehabilitation after over 12 years focusing on competition in long track speed skating and road cycling. I have seen how valuable soft tissue therapy can be as part of the wellness picture, especially in management of chronic pain, facilitating recovery from injury, and addressing nervous system dysregulation from stress or trauma. I chose this field because I hold a deep appreciation for feeling well in your body and the quality it brings to life. I try my best to offer the most efficient and effective care for each client, and this often involves spending some time re-educating body awareness and movement. Given the opportunity, I love examining the ‘why' behind feeling a certain way. I have been enjoying different forms of movement for a long time, and I currently enjoy rock climbing, skiing, trail running, and lots of dog walks. I'm always poking away at learning new things and love to talk podcasts, books and courses. I offer Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) which is helpful for muscular condition such as tennis/golfer's elbow, rotator cuff and other muscle strains or injuries.
