The Village Farms Limited is a small-scale family-owned business. The centre of activities is at a farm at Phwechi Village in Nkhatabay district, 15km from the Mzuzu - Lilongwe main road and about 20 or so kilometres from Mzuzu City in the northern region of Malawi... At Village Farms, we aim to be an environmentally friendly business. This is demonstrated through our eco-friendly coffee processing that utilizes as little water as possible in the process of pulping. We also want to uplift the communities surrounding us by providing employment opportunities... Apart from the coffee produced on farm, the Village Farms also works with farmers in the districts of Nkhatabay, Mzimba, Rumphi and Chitipa mainly as an off taker for their coffee parchment which is further processed into green beans. The Village Farms has established a reliable market for green coffee and is currently developing its own capacity for coffee and macadamia value addition.
