Aaron Dahl

Alan is a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group, specialising in contractual disputes, commercial claims and regulatory matters. Amber Sharp

Amber has over 20 years' experience as a workplace relations lawyer, with deep industry experience working the NSW Government. Brad heads the Insurance & Corporate Risk Group and is also Chair of Allegiant IRS. Brad has advised all parts of the resources sector, including global and local mining companies, mining equipment suppliers, mining services companies and coal loading facility companies. He has drafted specialised insurances specifically for the resources sector such as Mining ISR, Statutory Liability Plus and Environmental Rehabilitation Insurance Sureties. His innovative insurance advice has also assisted the likes of road authorities and airport owners with the establishment of their dedicated contract works and liability insurance programs (Principal Arranged Insurance) which relates to all road construction in their states and property and infrastructure development at their airports. Dominic McGann

Dominic is a resources expert with more than 30 years of experience as a general commercial lawyer. An element of his practice is native title and cultural heritage matters, on which Dominic is an acknowledged authority. He joined McCullough Robertson in 1996 after holding prominent positions with the Queensland Government for seven years and is one of a few lawyers in Queensland with a combination of significant senior government as well as private practice experience. His positions with the Queensland Government included Program Director of the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Land Interests Program with the then Department of Lands. When it comes to native title and cultural heritage, he is across all aspects of this area of law. As well as advising resource and infrastructure companies, he advises local Aboriginal Shire Councils, particularly around social infrastructure issues in the communities, which are generally in remote parts of Australia. He participates in the Yarning Up initiative, which is helping to close the gap for the remote Indigenous community of Lockhart River by identifying a number of potential business opportunities designed to generate jobs and income. In the finance space, Emile acts for both lenders and borrowers on property finance arrangements, including high rise and flat land developments; retail, commercial and industrial leasing portfolios; retirement village, aged care and land lease communities; and social and affordable housing including specialist disability accommodation (SDA). He acts for a number of major banks, as well as a number of other banks, non-institutional and private lenders, on all aspects of their financing arrangements, from deal structuring to documentation and due diligence, for transactions ranging from $5 million to over $250 million. Esterina is a Senior Associate in the Estates team and has practised exclusively in the area of wills, estates and succession law since her admission as a legal practitioner. Her practice includes comprehensive estate and succession planning with strategies tailored for the individual client, advising on the wide-ranging and varied matters that arise in the administration of deceased estates, and acting in litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes for a variety of estate-related conflicts. Esterina acts for and advises private clients from a range of backgrounds, including individuals and families in relation to their estate and succession planning, executors and administrators in applications for Grants of Probate, Letters of Administration and Reseals and the administration of deceased estates according to a will or on intestacy, beneficiaries of deceased estates and trusts in relation to their rights and entitlement, and parties to estate disputes both in the informal resolution of contentious matters and in initiating and defending litigation proceedings. She has also advised on unique succession issues in order to assist with legislative reform. For a number of years, Esterina was involved in the editing and publication of the Elder Law Review, the only refereed journal in Australia concerned with laws and issues affecting older persons, and she published several articles in the journal. Esterina was also a member of the inaugural Editorial Board for the text Wills, Probate and Administration Practice (New South Wales) and she co-authored, edited and assisted in the publication of monthly bulletin case updates and annual updates for subscribers to the text. Esterina draws on her wealth of specialised experience to support her clients in an empathetic and authentic manner. She enjoys assisting them to navigate complex estate administration and litigation dilemmas, and to achieve their desired estate planning outcomes.
