That's what University of Pittsburgh researchers found when they connected tiny sensors to the brains of two monkeys, restrained their arms, and placed tasty snacks just out of their reach. In a short time, the monkeys stopped struggling and discovered their power to achive the desired outcome by thinking and focusing. Attached to a robotic arm that they could operate with their thoughts, they overcame the challenge posed by their restraints. Soon they learned to feed themselves...
