THE SUMMIT CHURCH

The Summit began in 1961 when Pastor Sam James founded a church with the mission of reaching the world with the gospel. That church became Homestead Heights, and in 1998, they fasted and prayed for what God would do next. In December 2001, the church voted to call J.D. Greear as the new lead pastor, and they relaunched as The Summit Church... Summit College is the college ministry of The Summit Church. Our mission is to make disciples across college campuses in the RDU area.
