Dr. Garcia comes from a long line of people in his family who have dedicated their lives to helping others live healthier. For instance, his great-grandfather was a renowned obstetrician in Venezuela, and his father founded a cardiothoracic surgery department in Merida. So, it came as no surprise that he enrolled in Boston University's DMD program where he graduated with honors in general dentistry. From there, Dr. Garcia went on to complete a 2-year, accredited, post-doctoral degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Skills he applies every day in his Miami Orthodontic practice.
Another thing that makes Dr. Garcia such a special orthodontist in the Miami area, is that he can speak 6 languages fluently - English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, and French. This means there's virtually no language barrier between you and a great smile when working with Dr. Garcia.
When Dr. Garcia isn't helping his patients reach their smile goals, giving back to the community, or inspiring others around him, he's spending quality time with his family, going on adventures, and making memories that make him smile just thinking about them.

Dr. Wilka Garcia graduated with honors and was inducted into the Dental Honor Society (OKU) from Meharry Medical College obtaining a DDS degree. She practiced general dentistry for 3 years during which time she decided her true passion lay in Orthodontics. She went back to school for her specialty training at Jacksonville University where she received a Master of Science in Dentistry.
Dr. Wilka Garcia is a Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and completed a 3-year Post-Doctoral training from an accredited Orthodontic Program. She was involved in two research projects one of which is pending publication in a well-recognized orthodontic journal.
Dr. Wilka Garcia has a love for music and dance. She plays the violin and has played the flute in the past. She dances multiple Latin genres including Argentine Tango, Merengue, and Salsa. Dr. Wilka Garcia also enjoys reading and playing golf, tennis, and racketball. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her furry baby Cocoa, a chocolate lab mix.
