Susan Green

For over 25 years Susan Green, a posture specialist has been helping people of all ages to improve their posture and mobility, while relieving aches and pains through the Mitzvah Technique. She gives individual sessions, workshops, classes, teacher training and presentations, in her studio and at a variety of settings. Susan qualifies Mitzvah Technique Teachers in a three level teacher diploma course. Susan has a B.Sc. in Honours Dance from the University of Waterloo through the department of Kinesiology. She danced professionally as modern dancer with the Judy Jarvis Dance and Theatre Company. Susan worked as a choreographer and a creative dance teacher, studying the Mitzvah Technique and dance with Amelia Itcush. Susan choreographed the critically acclaimed "Untitled Marking" which was based on the Mitzvah Technique. Susan had suffered the effects of postural issues which were corrected through practicing the Mitzvah Technique discipline. Certified as a Teacher of the Mitzvah Technique in the first graduating class, she refined her quality of hands on work, uniquely through 25 years of continuous studies with M. Cohen-Nehemia, founder of the Mitzvah Technique. During this time, she attained a deep understanding of Nehemia's Mitzvah Technique through active participation in its evolution. M. Cohen-Nehemia has authorized Susan Green to train Mitzvah Technique Teachers. Susan continues to choreograph and teach creative dance, improvisation and choreography and coaches performers in expressive movement. Susan Green Co-supervised with Dr Vicky Galea, a 4th year independent study course. "The power of movement to heal. Explorations of dance and the Mitzvah Technique." 2017 and 2018 McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario.
