PRISONER - Key Persons

Brian A Morris

Hello and thank you for visiting our website. I am Brian Anthony Morris and I am a post-conviction and sentencing review specialist. I have over 25 years' experience focusing on prisoners' rights, criminal appeals, post-conviction remedies, challenging prior convictions, sentence reductions, paroles and helping those incarcerated make the best of their situation. I consider myself a post-conviction specialist for a reason: I had a big motivator. If you are incarcerated or facing incarceration, I have been there. I worked as a senior law clerk for approximately 25 years of my 30 calendar years incarcerated. I dedicated my time to being the best I could be with post-conviction remedies, analyzing case law decisions to determine why the courts reached the decisions they reached, learning the nature of issues that truly warrant post-conviction relief and applying my skills and abilities to helping those around me and myself reduce the amount of time we had to serve physically incarcerated. In the process, I pioneered and, from 1994 until 2009, authored the Notable Cases section of the Florida Prison Legal Perspectives Newsletter, a Prisoners Rights Publication from the publishing division of the Florida Prison Legal Aid Organization. Brian discovered an erroneous calculation in my sentencing guidelines scoresheet that resulted in the court vacating a 40 year sentence all my lawyers had missed. Brian got the court to correct my sentence and I walked out of prison. Brian got the last 20 years' and the rest of my life back for me! He is the best…. Brian shows excess intuition in the subject of post conviction evaluations and appeals. I have the instinct to ALWAYS read and RE-read ALL documents pertaining to whatever case law, or any subject- period, but I would always trust Brian, and actually I have never felt the NEED to read- but of course I do just out of habit. He is GREAT to work with. Gives amazing results! Independent Graphic Design Professional
