Carys Parry

Carys Parry obtained a joint Honours Degree in Welsh and French in 1991 before qualifying as a Solicitor in 1996. She worked as a Legal Adviser in the Magistrate's Courts in North Wales for 18 years before joining Martin and Strain solicitors firm in 2009. She specialises in Criminal and Family Law. She has gained vast experience in both areas of law having dealt with complex financial cases following divorce resulting in clients retaining valuable assets. Her experience working in the courts has proved invaluable providing her with the knowledge and skills needed to deal professionally with criminal cases at all levels. She is a Court Duty Solicitor and a fluent Welsh speaker who can deal with cases entirely through the medium of Welsh if desired.

David Jones

David Jones is an Accredited Police Station Representative working with Strain and Company. David attends Police Stations and provides casework support, primarily for Crown Court cases but also in Proceeds of Crime and Magistrates Court proceedings. David is qualified to advise at the Police Station having completed twenty-eight years' employment with the CID in North Wales Police and gaining Accreditation through Cardiff University. David's experience of Police investigations brings great experience to bear on the Defence side in all manner of cases providing a full dimension of experience and knowledge when defending our criminal client base. David is involved with a number of Ex-Forces/Veterans Charities having served in the Parachute Regiment seeing active service in the Falkland Islands prior to joining the North Wales Police.

Michael Strain

Michael Strain qualified in 1992, and obtained Higher Rights qualifications in 2003, allowing him to appear in the Higher Courts. He specialises in criminal and personal injury litigation having dealt with the whole range of criminal cases from minor motoring matters to major murder enquiries. He also deals with personal injury matters including standard whiplash injuries and major catastrophic injuries exceeding £1,000,000.00 in value. He is a Court Duty Solicitor and a fluent Welsh speaker who can deal with cases entirely through the medium of Welsh if desired
