As a Judge, he presided over and handled over 40,000 family law cases. As a Texas state government lawyer, he served as an agency regional chief, special litigator and helped oversee litigation involving Texas and Texas officials in both state and federal court. He was a civil litigation attorney when in private law firm practice and also served as first assistant district attorney and felony prosecutor.
