Billy Olaniyi

Billy Olaniyi qualified as a Solicitor in 2005. He is a qualified legal adviser to the Magistrates and has Higher Rights of Audience in all Higher Courts in Criminal Proceedings. He has been involved in a large number of motoring cases as well as numerous general crimes cases. He has a wealth of experience having been involved in cases involving complex criminal offences from murder to sexual offences. He has developed a reputation as a fearless and highly competent defence advocate. He has also represented clients in criminal courts across the UK. He has a reputation for excellent client care and has a strategic minded approach to representing clients in all types of criminal proceedings. Gill Hall

Gill Hall qualified as a solicitor in 1982 and has specialised in all aspects of family law for over 30 years. Gill is a member of the Children Law Accreditation Scheme as a Children's Representative and has been acting for children, parents and grandparents in care proceedings and other public law proceedings involving the local authority since 1985 when she first joined the Law Society's Children Panel. Some of the cases have involved very serious allegations where children have died, suffered injuries or been sexually abused. Gill has been a legal member of CoramBAAF for a number of years and has a particular expertise in adoption having represented all parties in the adoption process including the child. She has recently represented prospective adopters in contested adoptions where the birth parents have been given permission to oppose the adoption. Gill acts for clients in all aspects of relationship breakdown, including resolution of financial issues and disputes over property. She has had recent experience of acting in a high net worth case involving complex family trusts. Gill has developed a reputation for her calm, sympathetic manner when dealing with the most personal issues combined with a no-nonsense practical approach. Gill was awarded the Bristol Law Society's award for Solicitor-Advocate of the Year in 2012

Ian Kelcey

Ian Kelcey qualified as a Solicitor in 1980. Since qualifying he has been involved in a large number of notable cases and has built up a formidable reputation as one of the foremost criminal law solicitors of his generation. He has been involved in numerous murder cases, has advised and represented clients in relation to corporate manslaughter, and has wide experience tackling complex and lengthy fraud cases. Mr Kelcey has also gained a reputation for representing high profile figures such as police officers, members of the legal profession and professional sports personalities. He has developed an expertise of handling cases involving sexual allegations and has represented clients in drug importation cases. He has a reputation for integrity, excellent client care and an eye for detail and preparing proactive defence strategies on behalf of his clients. Mr Kelcey is frequently called upon to commentate in both newspapers and the national media on issues arising out of criminal law. His work load has involved cases in courts across the UK and he has ‘Higher Rights of Audience' in the Court of Appeal. He is a member of the International Bar Association and the European Criminal Bar Association and past Chairman of the National Law Society's Criminal Law Committee. The Bristol Law Society awarded him the ‘Outstanding Achievement Award' in 2012 and he is praised in Chambers UK Solicitors Guide as "an extremely experienced solicitor, absolutely top-rate".

Kevin Phillips

It is with much sadness that Kelcey & Hall announce the death of Kevin Phillips our Office Manager. Kev passed away over the bank holiday weekend after a short illness. Kev joined us in November 2017 having formerly been with Avon & Somerset Police Constabulary. In the short time that he was with us Kev had become an important, vibrant and much-loved member of the team and will be greatly missed by all the staff. Our thoughts at this time are with his wife Anna and his children.

Mark McDonald-Lonke

Mark joined Kelcey and Hall having obtained a degree at the University of Westminster and then obtained a LLB in crime at the Brunel University. He is committed to his clients evidenced by the fact that he did an internship in Jamaica assisting prisoners on death row. Mark specialises in criminal law and also has a background in housing.

Nathan Beese

Nathan Beese qualified as a Police Station Representative for the Practice in February 2016. Since that time he has dealt with all types of cases whilst clients have been in custody. He is client friendly and very personable. He has worked at Kelcey and Hall for 15 years, starting In 2001 as the firms Admin Assistant. Since then he has undertaken many duties, including the role of Costs Clerk, which he still does alongside fee earning. Nathan is enthusiastic and believes in being approachable and pro-active in clients' interests.

Nick Kelcey

Nick Kelcey qualified as accredited legal representative in 2004. Since qualifying Nick has undertaken advising clients in police stations across the country he has worked on a large number of notable cases. He has an ability to memorise cases of large and complex detail. He has acted for many professional sports people including international players advising them at police stations. Nick has a down to earth approach but fights vigorously to defend his clients interests. He has also acted for many officers in PIM procedures and misconduct hearings.
