Alan Cherry

Alan Cherry is a Senior Geoscientist with over 34 years of industry experience. His integrated skill set includes 2D and 3D geophysical interpretation, exploration play analysis and prospect generation, field development, reservoir engineering, formation evaluation, economic assessment, reserves evaluation, drilling, completion, and production operations. He is highly proficient in the use of multiple geologic and seismic interpretation tools.

Austin Gard

Job Titles:

President and COO. Highly experienced in working with tight formations to increase production. Lead team for Sandridge that increased production of carbonate field from 600 bbls/day to 6,000 bbls/day. Austin has worked for Chevron, Chesapeake Energy, and Sandridge Energy. He has a very broad background throughout all facets of Petroleum Engineering taking wells and fields throughout their full life cycle.

Doug Freberg

Job Titles:

Head of Land and Acquisitions. A Certified Professional Landman with over 30 years business and regulatory experience. Experienced in oil and gas production acquisitions, negotiations, divestitures, land and legal matters. Doug's clients have included Shell Oil, EOG Resources, Chesapeake Energy, Andadarko, ConocoPhilips and numerous independent oil and gas companies. He also represented natural gas and oil distribution companies and pipelines before the U.S. federal and state governments on legislative and regulatory matters.

Guy Robertson

Guy Robertson graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in engineering. Prior to joining the Cana team, Guy worked for the Australia-based Winchester Energy developing his skills from their Houston office. Guy has proven himself to have a knack for hands-on work and is a valuable asset out to have out in the field.

Jordan Singleton

Jordan Singleton graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2015 with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Business Administration. He is currently pursuing his joint JD/MBA at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX. He has a background in oil and gas doing land/title work, reviewing contracts such as Master Service Agreements and Joint Operating Agreements, as well as managing vendor billing and correspondence. He has additionally gained experience aiding attorneys in contract and litigation procedures, tax structures, and citizenship procedures.

Niels Henriksen

Cana Fund Manager, responsible for the European fund market, located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Niels Hog Henriksen comes from a unique background of the Cana team member and has since 2002 funded real estate in Germany, UK, Sweden and Denmark. Niels has since 2006 been successful Fund Manager in the oil and natural gas industry, always in projects from Texas, US. He is a fine, very precise communicator and popular in the segment of pension funds and investment funds, because he does the job for our clients perfectly with contagious good mood, courage and his positive attitude. Private is Niels an ultra-runner and has been on the Danish National Team, participating in WM and EM for Denmark - so Niels is our pretty long-running Fund Manager.
