CARTIERA S. ROCCO

The company, which was founded in 1982, initially worked in the "manifold and tissue-paper" sector for the footwear industry with a mill situated in Biecina, about two kilometres from the current site. In 1984 the company bought the current industrial site, which produces tissue paper for the hygiene, domestic and sanitary sectors. The first mill had a productive capacity of nearly 10,000 tonnes a year. In March 1985 a round the clock production system for tissue paper, for hygiene and sanitary purposes, was put into practice. In August 1986 the old mill, where manifold and tissue-paper was produced, was closed down. The foothold in the market in terms of the quality of products offered, pushed the partners into investing a significant amount directly into the setting up of a new machine with a production capacity of 20,000 tonnes per year and with a larger site of nearly 6000m2. In April 1998 the old mill stopped production.
