Catherine M. Lynch, MD, FACOG, FPMRS is the Associate Vice President of Faculty Development and Women's Health, Associate Dean of MCOM Faculty Development, and Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine. As Associate Vice President of Faculty Development, Dr. Lynch designed and launched the USF Health REACH Center for Resources, Engagement, Advancement, Coaching, and Health, a multi-faceted approach to promote and foster academic faculty career development for men and women. AAMC GWIMS published a toolkit authored by Dr. Lynch: "A Case Study: Creative Faculty Development through your GWIMS Office." In 2018, she presented "Streamlining of Promotion and Tenure Process with Intent to Improve Retention and Faculty" at the AAMC Group on Faculty Affairs. Dr. Lynch oversees the effort to transform USF Health into a multi-disciplinary hub for Women's Health research, education, and clinical care. Dr. Lynch introduced the Women's Health Collaborative Seed Grant program for research in women's health. This program is now in its sixth year and has funded over $500,000 in women's health research with interdisciplinary teams that include faculty from across USF Health, USF, USFSP, USFSM, HLM and the VA. Dr. Lynch also develops programs and opportunities to assist women faculty members in the advancement of their talents and careers. Dr. Lynch completed her undergraduate degree in biology at Georgetown University in 1986. She then returned to her home state of Florida to earn her doctorate of medicine from the University of South Florida in 1990, graduating as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Lynch completed her residency and post-graduate work at USF in obstetrics and gynecology and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lynch's clinical focus of interest is general obstetrics and gynecology, contraceptive and hormonal therapy, and urogynecology and pelvic reconstruction. Dr. Lynch's expertise in her specialty has given her the singular opportunity to consult and work with non-human primates at Busch Gardens Tampa on a number of occasions, including a C-section delivery necessitated by complications of pregnancy in 2005 of the first baby gorilla in the park's then 46-year history. Dr. Lynch is married to City of Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn, and they have two children.

Dr. Usha Menon

Dr. Usha Menon joined USF Health in September 2018 as vice dean of Research for the College of Nursing. In February 2020, she was named interim dean of the college, and in November 2020, she was named dean and senior associate vice president for USF Health. Before coming to USF Health, Dr. Menon served as a tenured professor and associate dean of Research and Global Innovation at the University of Arizona-Tucson College of Nursing. She was co-PI of the NIH-funded All of Us Research Program, which was designed to speed up health research and medical breakthroughs by creating a one-million-person detailed clinical database. She previously served as vice dean of the Ohio State College of Nursing. Dr. Menon has been consistently funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other national foundations, garnering approximately $60 million in total research awards. She has contributed 80 peer review publications and has provided more than 150 presentations at national and international meetings. She has served on multiple NIH study sections and national society committees. Her primary research interests have been in optimizing cancer screening regimens and reducing racial and ethnic disparities in cancer and other health outcomes. Her interests in nursing education have focused on increasing diversity of thought, scholarship, and innovative curricular elements. Her global health interests include nursing workforce and curricular development in Ethiopia and India, as well as initiating cervical cancer "screen and treat" programs in sub-Saharan Africa and India. Dr. Menon received her BSN from Lander University and her MS and PhD in Nursing Science from Indiana University. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, a recipient of the NIH National Research Service Award, and an inductee of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame. She has been honored as a Top 100 Alumni Legacy Leader by the Indiana University School of Nursing.

Haywood L. Brown

Haywood L. Brown, MD, joined USF and USF Health in 2018, when he was named vice president for Institutional Equity at USF and associate dean in the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, where he also serves as professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine. In April 2021, he was named senior associate vice president of Academic Affairs for USF Health and the vice dean of Faculty Affairs for the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. Prior to joining USF Health, Dr. Brown was at the Duke University Medical Center, where he was the F. Bayard Carter Professor and Chairman from 2014 to 2016, and the Roy T. Parker Professor and Chairman from 2002 to 2014. Dr. Haywood Brown received his undergraduate degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences Knoxville, followed by subspecialty fellowship training in Maternal and Fetal Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine/Grady Memorial Hospital. Dr. Brown has served in numerous local and national leadership positions including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. From 2017 to 2018, Dr. Brown served as the 68th President of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He was also the Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University from 2002 to 2016. Dr. Brown has previously held leadership positions as Chair of Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG), the Board of Directors for the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine and Past President of SMFM. Dr. Palmer joined USF Health in July 2008 as a specialist in general obstetrics and gynecology and is an associate professor in the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. He currently serves as the Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Palmer achieved his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and is an alumnus of the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. Following residency, Dr. Palmer completed a master of science in medical sciences with a focus on translational research in the USF K30 program. Jing Yi Chern - President

Dr. Chern is a gynecologic oncologist at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute. After earning her master's degree in biochemistry and molecular biology at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Chern received her medical degree from the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. She subsequently completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of South Florida, where she served as administrative chief resident and Scientific Review Committee member. Dr. Chern completed her gynecologic oncology fellowship at the New York University School of Medicine in New York City, where she earned a certificate in Translational Research Methodologies, under the Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Her clinical focus is to provide personalized and comprehensive care for women with gynecologic cancers, with a special interest in the surgical management of advanced malignancies. Dr. Chern also emphasizes the utilization of minimally invasive surgery, including the robotic platform. Her research interest includes evaluating quality and safety measures to improve surgical outcomes in patients with malignancies. Dr. Chern has worked as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop new protocols and safety measures with the goal of improving post-operative outcomes and patient satisfaction. In addition, her research is involved in understanding genetic factors associated with gynecologic malignancies to improve and guide patient care.

John R. Robinson

John R. Robinson, is Associate Vice President and Chief of Staff for USF Health. He has functioned as the Chief Communications Officer at USF Health since 2015, overseeing communications and marketing of USF Health's four colleges and clinical practice plan. Previously, he served as a Colonel and Director of Communication at US Central Command as part of a 30-year career in the US Army. During his military career, he provided and supported strategic communications in many areas of the United States, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. His service included work in multiple combat zones and with many US Embassy teams. He helped oversee construction of the Coalition Press Center used at the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom, functioned as the primary trainer for OIF's initial spokesperson, and orchestrated the daily production and broadcast of the OIF global media briefing. He also served in the Pentagon, where he managed web, broadcast and print media for the Army, and served as the Army Public Affairs Director of Planning. John was in New York City on Sept. 11, 2001, and later served as the Army's forward public affairs officer in New York City. He holds an MA in Journalism from Marshall University, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the US Army War College.

Mark G. Moseley

Mark G. Moseley, MD, MHA, FACEP joined USF Health in January 2017 and is now the Chief Medical Officer for the faculty practice group (USF Health), Associate Vice President for USF Health, and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, Morsani College of Medicine. In this role Dr. Moseley oversees the clinical operations of the faculty practice as well as other areas, including Quality, Safety, Risk, Patient Experience and building strategic hospital partnerships. Dr. Moseley is also Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Emergency Medicine and sees patients clinically in the Tampa General Hospital Emergency Department. Dr. Moseley also holds a courtesy appointment as Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management within the USF College of Public Health. In December 2017, Dr. Moseley was promoted to Chief Clinical Officer for USF Health to oversee day-to-day operations of the USF Health faculty practice plan and all clinical care that takes place at USF Health. Dr. Moseley is an Ohio native and alumni of the Ohio State University College of Medicine and College of Public Health. He is the first graduate of OSU's combined five-year MD, Master of Health Administration dual degree program. He completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Christiana Care Health System in Wilmington, Del., serving as chief resident in his final year of training. Dr. Moseley came to USF from the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, where he served in numerous leadership capacities for 12 years. Dr. Moseley was a core academic faculty member, Medical Director of the Emergency Department, and Vice Chairman for Clinical Affairs in OSU's large academic department of Emergency Medicine. His senior leadership roles at OSU were as Assistant Chief Operating Officer, Medical Director for Patient Flow Management, and Medical Director for Utilization Management; all for the entire 1,100 bed, 5 hospital health system. In 2013 he was awarded the OSU College of Medicine Innovation Award for conceiving, designing and implementing the After Hours Clinics; two urgent care sites that see thousands of patients annually in primary care clinics after hours seven days/week. He is a perennial Top Doctor award recipient in Emergency Medicine since 2011 and was voted by Columbus Business as a city-wide 40 under 40 awardee in 2010.

Sidney Fernandes is the USF System Vice President for Technology and Chief Information Officer, overseeing IT for all USF campuses and USF Health IS. Since joining USF in 1997, Sidney has led the implementation of several large enterprise projects for USF Health ranging from medical record and allied systems to student information and financial systems. He was also responsible for the design and implementation of the USF Health data warehouse that included more than 25 source systems both internal and external to USF. He also led the implementation of the Perioperative and Radiology systems along with several electronic health record initiatives for the USF Physicians Group. In addition, Sidney expanded the USF Health IS department in tandem with USF Health's growth in programs, students, centers and services. The growth helped USF Health stay ahead of technological trends, including the realignment of IT to focus on digital innovation. Data continues to be a passion for Sidney as he seeks to "recycle data" and partner with other areas of business such as digital marketing and operations to drive revenue and operational efficiencies. Sidney has achieved significant success applying data and principles of Agile development to solve business problems within the IT team and the enterprise at large. Sidney has a varied educational background, including a Bachelor's degree in computer science and Master's degrees in marketing, and management information systems.

Stephen B. Liggett, MD, is the associate vice president for research at USF Health and the vice dean for research at the Morsani College of Medicine. He also is a professor of Internal Medicine and of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology. He received a B.S. in physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MD from the University of Miami School of Medicine, with a subsequent nine years of post-doctoral training at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and Duke University Medical Center. At Duke, he was a post-doctoral fellow Dr. Robert J. Lefkowitz, a Nobel Laureate in Chemistry. Dr. Liggett was formerly chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and associate dean for interdisciplinary research at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Liggett studies the molecular and genetic basis of signaling by G-protein coupled receptors, which represent the targets for about half of all prescribed drugs. He holds 15 patents and has over 25 years of continuous funding from the National Institutes of Health for studying genomics and receptors as they relate to heart and lung disease.
