The Morris County Medical Society Society was formed in 1816 to organize all the reputable physicians of Morris County. The MCMS was formed to advance medical knowledge; to aid in broadening the field of preventive medicine and public hygiene and to so elevate and maintain professional standards in the County. Additionally, the organization was formed to serve the membership as an advocate for the physician/patient relationship.
