Most of my 20 years building IT systems has been in an enterprise setting. More recently, I am developing custom software and hardware solutions to support scientific research and education. New development includes lab and field equipment as well as wireless ground sensor technology, all capitalizing on recent downward pricing trends in electronic components. These reduced costs allow for more science, which is good for everyone.
