Jemma Sanderson

Jemma is one of the kind voices you will hear when you call our offices at Toronto Family Hearing and one of the friendly faces you will see when you attend your appointment with us. She is passionate about your hearing health and demonstrates a patient centred approach to care. She will ensure all patients feel welcome in our clinics and supported as she handles your requests, books appointments, responds to questions and addresses any concerns swiftly and with compassion over the phone, via e-mail or in person. Outside of work, Jemma enjoys staying active by kickboxing, playing basketball, and cycling along the waterfront trail. She also loves creating through mediums of drawing, painting, and crocheting.

Mahsa Mosstaghimi-Tehrani

Mahsa is the owner of, and lead audiologist at, Toronto Family Hearing. Originally from Windsor Ontario, Mahsa attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where she graduated with her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D).

Melissa MacKay

Melissa, a clinical audiologist with over 13 years of experience, joined the Toronto Family Hearing team in 2018. Born and raised in Halifax, she obtained her Master of Science in Audiology from Dalhousie University. Melissa is dedicated to practicing patient-centered care as it has been instrumental in the success of her patients with their hearing aids. She ensures all clinical decisions are driven by the unique needs and values of patients and their families. For Melissa, the most rewarding part of her job is listening to the stories patients recount about how improving their hearing has been life changing. Home is where the heart is so in her time off that's exactly where you will find her; in the east coast, spending time with family and friends. Nikki Nathaniel

Job Titles:
  • Patient Care Coordinator
Nikki joined Toronto Family Hearing as a patient care coordinator in 2022. Her up-beat energy and compassionate way will leave you feeling welcome and well cared for. As a hearing aid user herself, her personal experience with hearing loss makes her uniquely qualified to serve anyone, in any stage of their hearing journey. Nikki enjoys spending quality time with her family, going to basketball games and baking with her mom. Nikki also volunteers with her family every year on Christmas Eve to help deliver hot dinners to those in need.

Paxton Oliver-Bingham

Paxton completed her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) at the University of Kansas in Kansas City, Kansas. She is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba and is a proud Métis person. Paxton served both pediatric and adult patients in various clinical settings, including private practice, hospital-based ear, nose, and throat (ENT) clinics, and vestibular outpatient residency at the American Institute of Balance. She is driven to provide evidence-based care for her patients that fit their lifestyle and listening needs. Paxton completed her research project on aural rehabilitation and has a passion for ensuring both her patients and their communication partners understand the functional impact of hearing loss. She also completed a Medical Mission to Guatemala to assess hearing and treat hearing loss for members of the community. Paxton works diligently to provide excellence in all aspects of vestibulocochlear healthcare.
