Alastair Matchett - Founder

Alastair has over 22 years of experience teaching on Wall Street and beyond. He began his career at J.P. Morgan in mergers and acquisitions, covering financial institutions and oil and gas, before moving to the private equity firm 3i. Alastair then left to begin instructing and set up AMT Training in 1997. At the start of 2016, he founded Financial Edge Training and has since been delivering programs at 7 of the top 10 investment banks.

Amanda Carey

Amanda has been working in the financial training industry for 12 years, managing clients at the top global investment banks and financial institutions. Initially joining AMT Training in 2008 as a Client Service Manager, she was then promoted to Head of Client Services in 2010 to manage the global client team. As well as offering high-quality support on all training programs, Amanda was heavily involved in the internal management process to ensure efficiency was achieved in all aspects. Amanda's background lies in recruitment, having previously managed an outsourced team for a multi-national telecommunications company.

Amy Drury

An investment banking instructor with over 15 years of experience teaching analysts, associates, and senior management how to be more effective at their jobs. Based in New York, Amy's client list includes Wall Street names as well as educational institutions. Her specialisms are accounting, valuation and financial modeling training, which draws on her background in corporate finance. As well as teaching, Amy has written for several publications. She started her career with Deloitte, gaining the ACA qualification in London, before moving into a corporate finance role focusing on mid-cap companies.

Andrea Ward - Managing Director

Andrea brings over 22 years of experience designing and delivering bespoke finance training programs. She began her investment banking career in the M&A team at Lehman Brothers, overseeing private equity as well as media and technology transactions. Andrea left the industry to start her instructing career, managing AMT Training globally. She then joined Financial Edge in 2018 as managing director and instructor.

Andrew Jones

Andrew began his career in finance as a chartered accountant with KPMG, where his clients were mainly from the asset management and insurance industries. He subsequently worked within risk and finance functions at leading investment banks and asset management firms, before moving into training in 2008. Andrew initially delivered exam preparation courses, primarily towards the three levels of the CFA® exams, and later transitioned into tailored in-house training courses. He has taught courses covering all aspects of capital markets and asset management, including derivatives, risk management, financial statement analysis, and market economics.

Charlotte Luker

Charlotte has a degree in business management from Southampton Solent University and a post-graduate certificate in education from the University of Warwick. She joined FE in 2022 as a junior accounts assistant and is working towards her AAT Level 3. Outside of work she enjoys long walks and has caught the bug for climbing mountains.

Chris Cordone

As a financial trainer, Chris has over twenty years of experience teaching professionals at major investment banking, boutique, and private equity firms. Before instructing, he worked in J.P. Morgan's investment banking training team, where he helped to develop their first client coaching program which is still in existence today. Prior to this role, Chris was an investment banking analyst and associate for the firm, specializing in high yield and acquisition finance including LBOs. Alongside in-house instructing, he also develops e-learning content.

Claire Walker

Claire has a degree in graphic design from The University of Worcester. She joined FE in March 2023 as a junior graphic designer and is responsible for creating new learning materials. Outside of work Claire enjoys sketching and painting and she also loves keeping active at the gym.

Deborah Taylor

Deborah, who is a chartered accountant, was a director at Barclays Equity Research for 7 years before joining Financial Edge. During her time there, she specialized in accounting and valuation research as part of one of the top ranked teams in her sector. In more recent years, Deborah worked as co-head of Sustainable and Thematic investing, carrying out research on corporate governance issues such as corporate tax and regulation. She is also co-author of the book ‘Financial Statement Analysis under IFRS', published in 2018.

Dr. Bridget Lyons

Bridget has taught on Wall Street for many years and specializes in investment management and valuation. She started her career at NBD Bancorp in credit before moving to academia. She studied economics at Georgetown University, earned a graduate degree in finance at Columbia University, and is now Professor of Finance at the Jack Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University.

Dr. Colin Dooling - Managing Director

Colin, who holds a PhD in Physics, has been working in the financial training industry since 2003, starting off in account management and moving into training delivery in 2008. In 2010, Colin moved to Hong Kong to set up the APAC division of a training business, where he gained extensive experience working with regional clients and teaching participants at firms based in China, India, Singapore, Australia, and elsewhere. Since 2016, he has been heading up Financial Edge Training's APAC training, delivering programs to 6 of the top 10 investment banks.

Dr. Ronald K. Chung

Dr. Chung has close to 30 years of teaching, training and advisory experience in finance and strategy. He has primarily worked with financial institutions in the APAC region, such as Goldman Sachs and HSBC, instructing their entry level analysts and mid-career bankers on technical subject matters. In addition, Dr. Chung also consults for companies and is a Fellow of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD), as well as being an APEC Certified Business Consultant. He has also served as Director of Research for the Credit Research Foundation, USA, and Senior Consultant for the Treasury Management Association, USA.

Ellie McCormack

Ellie graduated with a bachelor's degree in Digital Media from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2021. Since then, she has worked as a Graphic Designer and Freelance Illustrator. She joined FE as our Graphic Designer in March 2022 and is responsible for creating new learning materials within the research and development team. Outside of work, Ellie loves exploring new places, going to music events, and binge-watching the latest Netflix shows, especially Spanish dramas.

Enuma Afulukwe

Prior to joining FE in 2023, Enuma worked in the education sector for over 11 years working as a Mathematics Teacher, Head of department, and Assistant Principal. She also taught in Beijing for 2 years. She has a BSc in Mathematics and a Master's Degree in Education: Leadership, Innovation, and Change and. Enuma works as a Digital Client Programme Coordinator assisting our Client Manager and engaging with everything ‘Felix'. Outside of work, Enuma enjoys traveling and leaving reviews of her experiences.

Fahim Mohammed

Fahim graduated with a degree in Industrial Design & Technology from Brunel University in June 2021. Before graduating he interned at eFOLDi, an award-winning mobility scooter company, where he produced the graphical materials and the livery design for their products. He joined FE in March 2022 as the graphic designer and is in charge of creating and enhancing graphics for the learning materials. Fahim has traveled to various countries and speaks Italian, English, Spanish, and Bengali. He is also a keen athlete and enjoys a 20km park run!

Fatima Moosa

Fatima graduated with a degree in Information and Communication Technologies from Queen Mary University. Previously, she has worked as a PHP Developer and a Coding Trainer in primary schools. She joined FE's Research and Development team as a Full Stack Developer in May 2022 and works on various development projects. Outside of work Fatima enjoys reading, playing badminton, and spending time with her two kids.

Gary Edwards

With over 9 years of experience in Office and Operational Management for a big retailer, Gary joined FE in August 2022 as Office Manager, before progressing to the role of Scheduling Manager. He works closely with the account managers and instructors in the scheduling of training programs, in line with client expectations. Outside of work, Gary enjoys long walks, spending time with his family, reading, and gaming.

Gerard's speciality lies in teaching accounting, financial analysis, and modeling, having started his career working in tax for Arthur Anderson and then moving to Ernst & Young's Corporate Finance Department. After qualifying as an accountant and CFA (all 3 levels), Gerard transitioned into financial training for BPP Professional Education in 2008 before working for AMT Training in 2012. Since joining Financial Edge, Gerard has delivered global training programs for the top 4 investment banks.

Grace Ifere

Grace joined our marketing team in April 2021, taking responsibility for overseeing all of our social channels as well as our ecommerce campaigns. Since graduating in 2017 with a master's degree in Management Finance from Durham University, Grace has worked at a range of fin-tech start-ups. During this time, she developed a passion for engaging and educating an audience online. Outside of work, Grace is a keen artist and in 2020 she held her first art exhibition in London.

Henry Davies

Henry graduated with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Design and Technology from Brunel University London and a Master's Degree in Design Communication from the University of Westminster. He joined us in January 2021 is now our Learning Experience Designer for our Research & Development team working on our eLearning and Classroom materials. Henry also has a passion for teaching, and has taught Graphic Design in both the UK and in Brazil.

Before joining FE, Ian held commercial leadership roles in both finance and compliance training companies and was the managing director of a leadership development business. As the commercial director at Financial Edge, Ian brings a client's viewpoint to every conversation, building effective and pragmatic learning programs.

Iris Springer

Iris has over 25 years of Corporate Finance, M&A, and Private equity experience. Her extensive experience across the sell-side and buy-side started at Salomon Smith Barney, then she later worked for Citigroup focusing on M&A, LBOs, ECM as well as DCM. In addition, Iris has coached CEOs, Executive and Non-Executive Board Members, and Heads of Investment Banking. In her free time, Iris loves outdoor sports like skiing and sailing and during her New York summers, she sails the Hudson and enjoys the amazing skyline.

Since graduating with a degree in marketing from Far Eastern University in Manilla, Jessica has experience working in digital marketing with her most recent role at the London-based social media agency Byter Digital. She joined FE's marketing team in April 2022 as the social media specialist and will be creating strategies and managing all the social platforms. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys socializing with friends and family as well as visiting relatives in the Philippines.
