IAT is a team that focuses on the educational but fun aspects of engineering and design. The team works closely together, learning and growing in its grasp of aerodynamics and engineering... We are a F1 in Schools team out of Dripping Springs High School. This is our second year competing, and we are very excited to continue to strive towards making it to worlds. F1 in Schools is a competition that gives young people a chance to learn about engineering and design. Using Computer Aided Design programs (especially Solidworks), we are able to design and create a F1 model car to race against other teams across the nation, as well as create presentations that explain the design and theory behind the car, as well as the marketing and business side of receiving sponsorships. This competition gives us a chance to learn and have fun, exposes us to other cultures, and helps us learn about the business facet of engineering.
