Universal Carbons was formed in 2010 as part of Senthil Group of Companies which is diversified into various businesses consisting of Integrated Poultry, Textiles, Real Estate Holdings, Finance and our latest venture being manufacturing of Activated Carbon... The company was started in 2010 and we are the first and only company in India to be fully integrated. Right from purchasing of coconut shells, to carbonizing coconut shells in our carbon pits to manufacturing of Activated Carbon in rotary kilns by steam activation and also a powdered carbon production unit... We place tremendous importance to being enviromentally efficient and Perhaps we are the only Activated carbon company to be power self sifficuent generating power through 4 X 250KW windmills with a total capacity of 1MW which is enough capacity to run a unit many times our size.
