Gene is a native of Macon, GA and a 1982 graduate of the University of Georgia Terry College of Business. Gene has now been in the residential construction and real estate investment industry for the past twenty years.
Since 1996, Gene has been injecting new life into reemerging in-town neighborhoods such as Decatur, East Lake, Kirkwood, East Atlanta and the West End. At first he was primarily a renovator and then a builder replicating the craftsman bungalows found in these same neighborhoods.
Gene and his business partner Hugh Kelly formed East Lake Builders, LLC as an in town development and construction company. East Lake Builders specialized in new construction and infill development projects in remerging neighborhoods until January 2003.
