Why Do I Support CRY? During Heart Month 2024, CRY launched ‘why do I support CRY?'. The campaign aims to personify and tell the stories behind CRY. We are asking our supporters to send in their reasons for supporting CRY so we can share them on our social media what CRY means to so many... CRY employs 38 people at their head office, 5 staff who work predominately outside of the office for our screening programme/logistical duties. CRY also employs cardiac physiologists on an ad hoc basis for our mobile screening programme... CRY offers subsidised ECG and Echocardiogram screening to all young people between the ages of 14 & 35. There is a simple way to diagnose most cardiac abnormalities. This is by having an ECG (electrocardiogram) test. Results should be read by a cardiologist. For extra clarity an Echocardiogram (ultrasound scan) can also be done.If there has been a young (under 35) sudden death in the family, the family is entitled to be screened on the NHS. All of CRY's public..
