Dr. Nylajean McDaniel


Karla Berger

Karla has more than 35 years of experience in the PK-12 school setting. She spent each day focused on making decisions that were in the best interest of students. Karla started her career as an elementary teacher and later served in various building and district administrative roles. She has supervised and worked as a leader in many different departments including human resources, curriculum, special education, Federal programs/grants, leadership development, EMIS, and others. During her career, Karla successfully assisted with onsite reviews/audits of federal programs, compliance procedures, facilitated employee discipline matters, assisted with policy development and reviews, provided professional development training to certified and classified staff members, completed evaluations of building level administrators and executive management team members, and oversaw all areas related to employment. Her previous experience also includes serving as a designated compliance officer for staff and facilitating the Local Professional Development Committee and mentoring programs. Karla holds active Ohio licensure in the following areas: Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Educational Administrative Specialist - Instructional Services, Elementary Principal, and Elementary Teacher. She has participated in training to help assess the potential talent of employment candidates. In addition, Karla is a credentialed evaluator for both Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES 2.0) and Ohio Principal Evaluation System (OPES 2.0). Karla enjoys being a problem solver and collaborating with her educational colleagues to establish practices and processes that support staff, students, families, and community members.

Nancy Mulvey

Nancy has dedicated her professional life to improving student outcomes in education. Her career began as a math teacher, she rose to principal, and most recently Director of Student Services. Her expertise as a School Administrator has earned her the role of Educational Consultant. As a consultant she is currently conducting observations for 43 Educational Support Personnel (ESPs): School Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Intervention Specialists and Speech/Language Pathologists with Cincinnati Public Schools. In addition, she serves as an Expulsion Hearing officer with Great Oaks Career Campuses. She has conducted more than 300 expulsion hearings with zero appeals.
