The Jordan Airports Company (JAC) is a 100% state-owned company,registered on the 28th of December 2008 to manage and operate any existing or future airports in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. In addition to its main purpose the company is responsible for expanding airports, utilizing airports buildings, facilities and assets, marketing goods and all passengers' supplies, establishing retail centers and warehouses, providing handling services, developing and maintaining infrastructure and preparing airport/aviation studies... In 2009, Jordan Airports Company officially assumed managerial and operational responsibility for Amman Civil Airport. In coordination with international specialized consultants, the company has prepared a comprehensive master plan for Amman Civil Airport... The center is being managed by Jordan Airports Company (JAC), and inspects cargo shipped through QAIA in a much safer and faster manner than using traditional X-ray machines.
