SHAWNEE SUNRISE FARMS

We are located near the Shawnee National Forest, nestled deep in southern Illinois. We raise and sell gaited horses for endurance riding at the 25, 50, and 100 mile distance. All of our endurance horses are tenacious, trained, proven horses at their events. Be sure to check out our blog for the latest race reports! Endurance is not for everyone, and we often have well trained gaited trail horses that travel smoothly... Our breeds of choice are Missouri Fox Trotters and Tennessee Walkers. We believe that our gaited horses are as athletic as any other horse being ridden in endurance. They show us that they are comfortable, sensible, and fast enough to compete and complete. We are fiercely passionate about these horses.
