Amanda Parker

Amanda graduated from Texas A&M with a BBA in Business Management. She works as a supply chain analyst during the day and as a bookkeeper for By the Books in her free time. Her interests include playing with numbers, travel, and personal finance. She lives with her partner and their fur babies in Dallas.

Amber Shaffer

Amber has been working as an administrative and virtual assistant since 2009. Her many skills include hotel management, payroll processing, data entry, invoicing, inventory, reconciliations, large scale data auditing, and custom project management. As the payroll specialist for By The Books, Amber thrives on making sure all of our payroll clients rest at ease knowing that their payroll will always be processed with the utmost care and precision. She enjoys hosting game nights for family & friends, learning new skills, and traveling.

Lisa Williams

Lisa graduated with her Associate's Degree in Accounting from Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming. She has been bookkeeping since 1995, has a wide range of bookkeeping experience, and is excited to be of service to our clients. When she is not working, Lisa enjoys traveling with her husband and their little cattle dog.

Mary Roper

Mary has been working as a bookkeeper since 2004 and has vast experience with reconciling, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, P&L and Balance Sheet auditing, and sales tax reporting. As an account manager at By The Books, Mary loves helping small business owners maintain their books on a monthly basis and is always there to tackle any task, big or small. She enjoys spending time with friends, hanging out with her high school sweetheart (and now husband), going to Dallas Stars games, taking random road trips, and enjoying their love of music together.

Meagan Alls

Meagan graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's Degree in Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management. In 2007, she began her career as a Café Manager, ensuring her guests and employees got the best possible experience and delicious food. Her finance experience includes data entry, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and overseeing Profit and Loss statements. Meagan is excited to work with the By The Books clients, helping them to succeed in their business. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her husband and two children, hanging out with friends, and enjoying the Texas hot summers.

Rob Mohrman

Rob is a proud Texan, but his roots can be traced back to Missouri. Rob discovered his natural talent for bookkeeping, accounting, and office management after his employer recognized his aptitude for numbers and threw him into QuickBooks Desktop. He has since dedicated himself to building a career in accounting. Rob has gained a reputation for his exceptional work ethic and attention to detail. When away from his desk, Rob enjoys playing a game of pool and chess . As the newest member of the team, Rob is dedicated to his work and committed to providing his clients with the highest level of service possible.

Sara Wolfe

Sara graduated from Texas A&M Commerce with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Minor in Accounting in 2000. She then received her Master's Degree from the University of North Texas in Curriculum Writing in 2005. Sara began to fulfill her love for numbers by bookkeeping for friends and family beginning in 2001. She officially started her company, By The Books, in 2011 and has been helping small business owners ever since. Sara lives with her husband, two daughters, two dogs, and a cat. In her free time, she loves to hang out with friends, read, road bike, cross-fit, play French horn, and go on cruises with her family to see the world.

Scott Wolfe

Scott has worked his magic behind the scenes for By The Books since the company began. He worked on projects, processed budgeting and analysis tasks, and assisted Sara when she'd need an extra pair of hands After graduating from UTA, Scott worked for over 24 years with a real estate information and analytics company as a business and information analyst. Unfortunately, in the Spring of 2021, he was laid off and, at that point, decided it was time to come off the bench and finally play full-time for By The Books. Currently, Scott specializes in new client onboarding, financial and analytical reporting, and manages client accounts. Outside the professional world, he is an avowed girl dad, trombone player, and fan of college football and major league baseball, and has a passion for road cycling and CrossFit activities.

Tony Gibson

Tony Gibson is an Enrolled Agent who paid attention to his family's taxes at the age of 10 and prepared them for the first time at 22 years old. He officially began his tax and accounting career in 1998. Tony is experienced and highly educated on how the tax system can work for individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates. He worked 4 years with Ernst and Young (EY) prior to starting his own practice in 2017. He holds a degree in Accounting and Information Systems from University of Dallas, and a MBA w/ Accounting Concentration from Keller School of Management. Tony eagerly joined By The Books in 2020 and is excited to be an integral part of the team. Tony is a native of Duncanville, TX and enjoys spending his free time with family and playing soccer.
