Stephen A. Diamond is a partner of the Law Firm of Reback, McAndrews & Blessey, LLP. Mr. D
r spanning almost 30 years, Mr. Werre has distinguished himself defending health care professionals and hospitals in all areas of malpractice litigation through trial or arbitration. His cases range from catastrophic injury to wrongful death actions. In addition to professional negligence claims, Mr. Werre has successfully defended claims for elder abuse, dependent adult abuse, health care fraud, battery, violations of the Consumers Legal Remedies Act, unfair business practices, and punitive damages. He also represents health care providers in licensure disciplinary proceedings such as Medical Board and Nursing Board accusations; defending all phases from initial investigation through administrative hearing. Moreover, he leads the Health Care Transaction & Compliance Practice Group overseeing sales & acquisitions, the creation of management companies as well as business & employment agreements and patient privacy compliance.
Mr. Werre is an invited speaker before health care organizations regarding relevant risk management and medical malpractice topics as well as an author of multiple articles regarding health care litigation.

He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1994 and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court- Southern Division and the Court of Appeal, Ninth Circuit.
For the last 23 years he has specialized in the defending physicians, psychiatrists, physician assistants, hospitals, nurse practitioners, licensed nurses, general dentists and oral surgeons in professional negligence cases. Mr. Blessey has tried more than 70 cases to verdict in cases involving claims of malpractice, elder abuse, dependent adult abuse and general liability.
He has been an invited lecturer for the Association of the Southern California Defense Counsel annual meeting and has also lectured at hospitals and medical groups on a variety of risk management issues.
Mr. Blessey is a member of the State Bar of California, Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and an Associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
He has been chosen as the Los Angeles Magazine "Super Lawyer" from 2006 to 2017 and listed in The Best Lawyers in America publication in the area of Medical Malpractice Defense from 2012 to 2017.
Prior to entering the field of law Mr. Blessey was involved in health care for approximately 18 years which included clinical research in premature atherosclerosis and the health effects of air pollutants. In addition, he was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California School of Bio kinesiology and Physical Therapy from 1994-2001.

Robert C. Reback is a senior partner in the Law Firm of Reback, McAndrews & Blessey, located in Manhattan Beach, California. For the past 35 years, he has specialized in the trial of civil personal injury cases particularly in catastrophic injuries. His trial background is in such diverse areas as product liability, drug manufacturer liability, legal malpractice and all aspects of medical malpractice.
In his career, Mr. Reback has tried over one hundred cases and he has focused his practice for the past 30 years primarily in medical negligence including the defense of physicians, hospitals, and health organizations in such areas as malpractice, elder abuse and sexual harassment.
