The South eastern Insurance Group of Companies was founded by John S. Huffstetler, Sr. in 1978 with the organization of Southeastern Benefit Plans, Inc. the flagship company of the Southeastern Insurance Group. Southeastern Benefit Plans was formed to serve the needs of firms in the under 25 employee health insurance market and was one of the first to offer complete administration, including claims processing in Charlotte, North Carolina. Over the years, the success of Southeastern Benefit Plans spawned the formation of many other "Southeastern" affiliated companies which later went on to form "The Southeastern Insurance Group."... Southeastern Brokerage Group was formed in 2007 to meet the needs of the burgeoning Senior Planning Market Place, specifically the Extended Care Planning market place as aging began to go mainstream in America.
