As Sales Manager for Essco Process Valves, Alan specialises in marine applications and HVAC products for commercial buildings.
With an impressive 43 years in the industry, he has worked in a broad range of roles including Storeman, Internal Sales, Buyer, Purchasing Manager and Logistics Manager, and has traveled to valve factories all over the globe.
Alan enjoys swimming, walking and attempting to get his golf handicap down in his free time.
Chris is responsible for the day-to-day operations at our Hedge End facility with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
He has been working in the heating industry for around 10 years with the majority of this time spent working for a national Air Source Heat Pump distributor.
Away from work, Chris spends his time with his young family carrying out his role as ‘climbing frame'. Time away from the kids will normally involve developing his encyclopedic knowledge of all things Marvel or DC.

Emma is responsible for nurturing and promoting the Essco brand. She markets our products and services by developing and executing campaigns for the Essco Group.
With an HND in Fashion Marketing and a CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing, Emma has worked in the HVAC industry for over 20 years and started her career with a large commercial boiler manufacturer. She has a passion for promoting products that contribute to an energy efficient system.
Outside of work, Emma can be found in a boxing class, walking at the beach or having a tequila rose and a boogie somewhere!

Joanna is responsible for all things financial, most importantly controlling Essco's financial processes, managing the accounts, paying the bills and supporting the management team.
She is AAT qualified, with over 15 years finance experience. Joanna has held roles and gained valuable experience within a variety of industries including plastics, clothing, vehicle hire, and now HVAC! A passionate team player, Joanna enjoys holding a role that is in the heart of the Essco business.
Outside of work, her nephew and netball are her No 1 passions. She once played for the Cayman Islands national team and was surprised and happy to win Southampton ‘Players player' award in 2019!

John is responsible for managing the warehouse and ensuring product assembly, stock control and returns run smoothly day-to-day…….Read more
John is responsible for managing the warehouse and ensuring product assembly, stock control and returns run smoothly day-to-day.
After traveling for 7 months back in 2010, John joined the company upon his return and has been with Essco ever since. He has seen the company grow, moving to two different locations due to expansion.
Lawrence is responsible for sound engineering practice throughout the Essco Group and provides sales and technical support for the Energy division.
He has invaluable engineering experience in many fields such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, hydronic and steam system design, structural steel fabrication and sheet metal design to name a few. These skills are put to good use throughout his role within the Essco Group.
Outside of work he is likely to be found in the woods on his mountain bike (with all the gear and no idea) with his dog Meg following closely behind him.

Matt Lowe - Chief Commercial Officer

With undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in business, along with a diploma in Company Direction and 23 years of industry experience, Matt remains passionate about building businesses that love their products, their customers and their people.
Outside of work, Matt is happiest with his family walking in the Welsh hills or despairing at his limited abilities on a golf course.

Matt has over 30 years' experience working in senior leadership roles within the building services and industrial sectors. Relationship focused, he is passionate about getting the best from our team and doing right by our customers.
Away from work you will find Matt enjoying time with family and friends. Whilst the rugby boots were hung up long ago, he loves to keep active through cycling, golf and walking (dogs + pub!).

Matt has a broad technical background and is on hand to help with product, installation and commissioning queries. He also gives engineering support to his colleagues, helping to provide the best service to our customers.
Originally starting with a major industrial valve specialist in the mid-eighties, Matt worked up through the actuation workshop and into their Special Product Division, he then went on to eighteen years with Italy's largest industrial pneumatics manufacturer as a product specialist and technical liaison. Returning to his valve roots in 2013, Matt now splits his time between the office and workshop at Essco Group.
Matt is happiest when tinkering with his Land Rover. He also enjoys target shooting, cooking and walks by the sea with his dog.
Mike is responsible for developing products and services that fall within the banner of Essco Energy. He provides frontline sales and technical support to clients and consultants, on projects where our products form a key and essential part of the overall building energy management solution.
With a degree in Industrial Design and Technology, Mike has spent 12 years in the HVAC industry working with a large international manufacturer of heating, cooling and domestic hot water components. Mike has a passion for product design and renewable technologies, enjoying problem-solving through sound product selection and system guidance.
Outside of work Mike enjoys going for walks with his young family, building train sets and playing games with his 3yr old son and the occasional escape to the pub with friends. Where time allows live comedy and rock concerts are also a favourite pastime.

With an MBA from Oxford Brookes, Richard has worked with SMEs in the HVAC sector for over 25 years and has been Essco's Managing Director since 2015.
Outside of work he is a keen sailor and cyclist and enjoys martial arts or walks with his dog Charlie.

With over 12 years' experience within the commercial HVAC controls industry, Steve's product knowledge and experience are far-reaching. This includes commercial plant, communal heating, renewables and underfloor heating.
Steve has a passion for diagnosing system requirements to offer an efficient and cost-effective solution for the customer and the environment.
Outside of work Steve can be found playing or watching football (Up the Saints) or with his mates having a nice chilled pint of lager, not forgetting spending valuable time with his wife and kids.
