Asief is the Chief Investment Officer and founder of Aeon Investment Management. Asief serves on the board of Aeon Investment Management as Executive Director.
In his capacity as Chief Investment Officer, Asief is responsible for the overall investment process and investment outcomes across all strategies, namely, fundamental active equity, quantitative equity and multi-asset class strategies.
He is an Independent Trustee of the African Infrastructure Investment Fund. Asief is also a council member of the Financial Sector Transformation Council on behalf of ABSIP.
Asief is a qualified Chartered Accountant (South Africa) as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting from the University of Cape Town and has over 34 years industry experience.
Asief Mohamed has over 34 years of asset management experience. He was the Chief Investment Officer for Metropolitan Asset managers. As the founding director and pioneer of Aeon Investment Management, he is driven by excellence and performance.

Chanté is a Research Analyst at Aeon Investment Management. She joined the firm in August 2024 as part of investment team.
Her primary responsibility within the investment team is fundamental equity analysis.
She is a Level III candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme. We are committed to seeing Chanté become a CFA charterholder as a member of our investment team.

Courtney is the Head of Performance at Aeon Investment Management. She joined the firm in January 2015 as a graduate. She started as a research analyst focusing on fundamental equity analysis and ESG integration until she found her niche in performance measurement and analytics for all our portfolios.
As the Head of Performance, Courtney is responsible for performance measurement and analytics across the firm. In addition, she assists the investment operations team with the investment fee processes and client requests.

Jay is the Senior Portfolio Manager at Aeon Investment Management. He joined the firm in January 2013.
His portfolio management responsibilities span across the fundamental active equity and the multi-asset class portfolios.
Jay is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand. Jay is also a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe, IFTA) and has 17 years industry experience.

Muneer is a Chartered Accountant South Africa (CA(SA)) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Cape Town.

Rushil is a Research & Implementation Analyst at Aeon Investment Management. He joined the firm in April 2023.
His primary responsibility is the dealing & implementation function, specialised research analysis for the multi-asset class portfolios and auxiliary support for the portfolio management team.

Sumayah is the Financial Manager at Aeon Investment Management. She joined the firm in October 2014 as a graduate. Sumayah started out as a Research Analyst but later found her passion in finance.
She is responsible for the finance function and also oversees the internal compliance function. Sumayah enjoys spending time with family and friends. She believes that success is not about working hard but rather about working smart and having a balanced lifestyle.

Thulani is the Chief Executive at Berekah Value Investments, an SMME investment holding firm that is invested in the fuel retail, property and fast-food sectors. Thulani's areas of expertise include Private Equity, Fuel Retail, Corporate Finance, Economic Appraisal, Infrastructure Finance Management, Project Management and Policy Development. Thulani holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Applied Economics, both from the University of Cape Town.

She is one of the 2024 Mail & Guardian 200 Young South Africans. Her alma mater is the University of Free State, where she completed her bachelor of Accounting undergraduate & postgraduate qualifications in Investment Planning and Financial Planning. She also completed the online Oxford Leading Strategic Projects Programme at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, UK.

Zuhair is the Manager: Distribution at Aeon Investment Management. He joined the firm in March 2024 to lead the distribution, and overall value proposition strategy development for Aeon Investment Management.
Zuhair is a seasoned distribution professional, having worked in varying roles in his 16-year career. He recently worked for over 12 years as an Institutional Client Manager at M&G Investments Southern Africa (AuM of over R300 billion), where his primary function was to build and maintain strong client relationships at appropriate levels while working to coordinate client interactions, including report backs, due diligence reviews and other relevant communications.
