GSS BANGLADESH

GSS built over 700 primary schools in the ‘90s in the remotest parts of the country on land donated by the community. Most of these have three spacious rooms with a veranda, toilets, tube-well and a play ground. The Model schools and most of the training schools have between 5 and 7 classrooms. Each school runs in 2 shifts with a 30:1 learner-teacher ratio in each class... GSS helps children learn. It runs 700 schools for disadvantaged children aged 5 - 12 in remotest parts of Bangladesh Children learn hands on They are able to read independently They can write to express themselves They can tackle math in 18 months
