ORLANDO LAWSUIT - Key Persons
Bill Porter Law prides itself on efficiency. We do not waste your time or your money and if there is a way to negotiate a resolution prior to any lawsuit needing to be filed, we will do everything possible to make that happen. Avoiding protracted and expensive litigation often benefits all parties and can take many forms- deeds-in-lieu in foreclosure matters, settlement agreements, releases, sale agreements and the like. You need a lawyer who will vigorously and aggressive work for you but also is mindful of the costs in doing so.
Bill Porter Law handles any type of lawsuit from small claims matters under $5,000, to large, complex cases where hundreds of thousands of dollars or more are at stake. Filing and prosecuting a lawsuit or defending a lawsuit is a serious endeavor, and you must have competent, aggressive and responsive counsel who will not buckle to an opposing attorney. You need an attorney who cares about your case and will commit to doing the best job possible.
Bill Porter Law has years of foreclosure experience representing both sides. Bill Porter represented large banking institutions for more than 10 years before switching to the consumer side so he knows how the banks think. When a bank files a foreclosure lawsuit, you need someone who will make the bank do what they are supposed to do under the loan documents and court rules and fight the foreclosure when it makes sense to do so. Bill Porter Law can help navigate you through these difficult waters.
One of my favorite things about practicing law is being in court. I have spent over a year with a small, private firm handling bankruptcy and civil matters, 10+ years with a large, private firm practicing in area of bankruptcy and creditors' rights and 3+ years as a trial attorney with the Department of Justice. My biggest strength as an attorney is confidence.
I have served as an adjunct professor in the Paralegal Studies program at Valencia College, teaching Introduction to Bankruptcy and Creditor Rights, for various semesters since 2011. If I had not chosen law as my profession, I would have pursued a career as a marine biologist. I'm a huge fan of FSU football. I volunteer with dog rescue groups and helped find new homes for many dogs over the years (and have kept many along the way as well)
