Here at Silver Heritage Farms, our practices start with nature as our template. We believe that the earth was created with the most effective set of operating principles. (Even if you disagree with our starting point, you will probably agree that nature's model is worth replicating because it will naturally select for stronger, more efficient workings.) In fact, we humans were gifted the role of stewarding it. The use of stewardship here implies that we will care for both the animals and their environment - not one at the expense of the other. The beauty of the natural model is that we can produce outstanding animals (meat) by producing outstanding grass and soil. This in turn produces more outstanding animals. There is a symbiotic relationship between the two... Our mission statement contains three phrases that sum up why we do what we do.
