Derek Dunstone took over the longstanding 'Rawlings' business in 1991 and so changed the Practice name at that time. Andrew Dunstone became a Partner in December 2018 and Director in May 2021. Michael became a Partner in December 2022.

Laura joined the practice in February 2022 as an Optical Assistant. She works as part of our team to assist in the provision and delivery of high standard Optometry services to patients. In particular, by providing front of house services to a high level. Her current roles are numerous and include clinic coordination, ordering spectacles and contact lenses and assisting with spectacle dispensing.
Laura is married and lives with her hudband and three children in Hadleigh.

Graduated in 2002 with an Honours degree in Optometry and qualified with College of Optometrists in 2003 following pre-registration training. Joined the Practice in Hadleigh in September 2020. Peter is interested in all aspects of optometry and while not in the Practice attends NHS referral clinics in Ipswich . Chair of Suffolk Optical Committee (LOC) where he has worked together with Derek Dunstone over several years.

Sally has worked in the Practice since 1991.
Her role as Company Secretary includes accounts, NHS claims, spectacle dispensing, reception, purchasing spectacle frame stock and generally helping to make the business run smoothly.
Qualification achieved in 2002 from Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge) as Optometric Dispensing and Clinical Assistant. Thus qualified to perform spectacle dispensing, visual fields, tonometry and other tests. Sally is often available to assist with your choice of spectacle frame.

Patricia joined the practice in February 2022 as an Optical Assistant, after several years in similar roles in other optometry practices. She works as part of our team to assist in the provision and delivery of high standard Optometry services to patients. In particular, by providing front of house services to a high level. Her current roles are numerous and include clinic coordination, ordering spectacles and contact lenses and assisting with spectacle dispensing.
Patricia is married and lives in Nayland.

Rosie joined the practice in October 2023 as an Optical Assistant, after graduating with a degree from the University of Bath in Accounting & Finance. She also has a Management MBA from Iona College and has previously worked in London in finance and recruitment. Between 2016-2021 she competed as an international track athlete, was British champion in the 3000m steeplechase and competed internationally on numerous occasions.
She works as part of our team to assist in the provision and delivery of high standard Optometry services to patients. In particular, by providing front of house services to a high level. Her roles are numerous and include clinic coordination, ordering spectacles and contact lenses, assisting with spectacle dispensing, visual fields screening, eye pressure measurement and retinal photography and scanning.
Rosie lives in Layham with her husband and dog and enjoys running in her free time.
