Alastair Heane

- Alastair is an extremely experienced Technical Project Manager and Owner's Representative. Prior to joining Hill Robinson in 2020, Alastair held management roles in refit, sales, and project departments at some of the superyacht industry's leading shipyards and for internationally renowned yachting brands. Responsibilities of Alastair's day-to-day role include ensuring that the vessel, crew, and operational program run in safe harmony. Helping to overcome the technical challenges that can be posed by a refit or conversion project comes naturally to Alastair, and he enjoys working as part of a team - both with his colleagues at Hill Robinson and the crew, yards and contractors he liaises with on a daily basis. Alastair has global maritime experience on land and at sea, and was an RNLI volunteer for the last 20 years. - Barrett grew up in or on the water. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Barrett began her professional career at Sotheby's in 2000. Looking for a change, Barrett joined the yachting industry in 2003 and after working on board sailing yachts in the Caribbean and New England, she found herself based in Newport, RI, and took a shoreside position with the Fontaine Design Group and Friendship Yacht Company. Upon relocating to Florida in 2010, Barrett joined Hill Robinson first as Yacht and Company Accountant and quickly expanded her duties to include yacht operations. In February 2015, she was promoted to President of Hill Robinson USA and continues to run US operations. Barrett is a member of IYBA and the International Superyacht Society, and she is a regular contributor to the MARE forums. He started his yachting career at Koersvelt Yacht Projects B.V. as a project engineer where he represented various owners and managed their new builds. Further to that he also developed an ISO certified quality control system as a management tool. In 2007 Karl joined Hill Robinson International as Senior Project Manager and Owner's Representative. He managed several large new build and refit projects in Germany. In 2015 he was requested to join the board and became Partner. He is now leading various project teams of highly qualified project managers and engineers that are working on maritime and aviation projects all over the world. Nick Hill

- Nick started his sailing career at Oyster Yachts in Ipswich in 1980 before university, delivering his first yacht to the Caribbean in 1984. A degree in geography from Cambridge certainly helped finding his way! It was in Antigua that Nick joined Jessica, the 3 masted schooner, as first officer he enjoyed the experience of learning how to run a large yacht. For the next 10 years as captain on yachts such as Orejona, Astrape, Dwyn Wen, Philanderer, and Thendara, Nick gained experience in different cruising areas, notably the East Med, USA, Caribbean and SE Asia. After qualifying with an MBA from Imperial College London in 1994, Nick joined Camper & Nicholsons to set up and run the charter management department, in London, then Monaco. In 2001 Nick and Niall founded Hill Robinson International in London, followed by Yacht Management Consultants in France shortly after. Since then the company has grown and expanded to the USA, IOM and Cyprus supporting a larger fleet and significant projects.
