Andy Trish

Andy is our Education Director and is globally recognised for his award winning ICT leadership. He works closely with schools to deliver innovative, child focussed, transformative solutions. His current passion, is exploring the programming opportunities and capabilities of our NAO mini-humanoid robot. The little robot buddy has become a new member of his family and some creative applications have emerged with NAO performing new songs and mimicking human behaviours. He was Microsoft's first 'Most Valuable Professional' (MVP) in Cornwall and continues to build our strong and unique relationship. Ensuring child online safety is close to Andy's heart and he actively promotes e-safety awareness within schools and the local community plus, spearheads our charity projects to raise funds and computer equipment for children less fortunate around the world. As a Navy Veteran, Andy is also dedicated to supporting schools in the Falklands where he has personally implemented ICT to develop learning opportunities for the children on the islands.

Chris Penrose - CTO

Chris is our technology fanatic with a head for innovation, code development and gaming, joining Andy and John to create the directorship that steers NCI forwards. Chris specialises in IT consultancy and is focused on the continual development of NCI's products and services. Starting his career at a mere 16 years of age in network support he had risen to Regional IT Manager positions with experience across a range of industries from software development, manufacturing and local government. His background in managing business systems has equipped Chris to recognise the core issues companies must address as part of their IT strategy. Apart from making a noise in the IT world, Chris also likes to create a stir on his drum kit. 'Our rider through the storm...' he is also a keen motorbike fan and an adventurous explorer/traveller too.

David Giblett

David was one of NCI's first employees, watching the company grow from a small team of specialists to over 30 skilled staff, and being instrumental in the ever-increasing customer base. Focused on sales management, David advises and supports businesses and schools in Cornwall, championing the company's unique understanding of local, small and medium sized businesses. He also project manages our IT sales, with global customer contracts as far afield as Canada, South Africa and Australia. David has developed strong relationships with many schools across Cornwall who are reassured by the support of a dedicated IT educational team and a face-to-face relationship they can trust. Over 20% of primary schools in the county alone, secondary schools and schools outside of Cornwall, in London and the Midlands are supported by the growing sales team who focus on delivering exceptional service.

Deon Hartley

Job Titles:

Having clocked up many years of technical expertise in both the UK and across the globe, Deon put his reigns down in Cornwall and project manages our more challenging technical hurdles with a flare of ingenuity. His specialism is in cloud computing incorporating multi-site networks, email and server virtualisation. Wild at heart, our technical manager lets off steam as a 'Dave Grohl' style drummer for a local Cornish rock band. Loving the centre of the action on land or sea, he's been know to tame the white horses of our Cornish waves with his surf board, ride down South African rapids and even throw himself off a cliff or two - fortunately attached to a bungee! Our South African born, Technical Chieftain possesses fiery dynamism and the problem solving instincts characteristic of those braving the wildest jungle.

James Scott

Job Titles:
  • IT Consultant
James has been involved in the IT scene in Cornwall since he was a young school IT Technician nearly 20 years ago. He progressed to Network Manager and has subsequently worked on a number of technical projects in the education and business sectors including success supporting the CPR (Camborne, Pool, Redruth) Success Zone. His work with leading international technology companies honed his specialism in audio and visual solutions and server virtualisation. As NCI's IT consultant and Microsoft specialist too he's keen to support the company's Gold Partner Status. James loves to be part of the action whether during our office fun and games and team videos or out kayaking in the Cornish summer seas.

John Andrew - COO

Job Titles:
  • Operations Director
John is our Operations Director. Our chief 'Mr fix-it', from wireless networks, electronics, databases and even clocks or train sets, what ever the puzzle John will solve it! His main focus at NCI is our service department, plus, infrastructure design and implementation, IT telephony and wireless solutions. John has a strong background in engineering, cutting his teeth in the Research and Development department of Marconi Avionics. He is also a keen yachtsman and has fully restored a 33ft classic, 1939 wooden yacht to its former glory.
