Blairgowrie, Rattray and District Angling Association (BRDAA) was formed from an existing fishing club in the late 19th century and has successfully supported and promoted angling in Blairgowrie and the surrounding areas. Its objectives are to encourage angling for salmon, sea trout, brown trout and other fish in the river Ericht and lochs in the district... In agreement with West Grange Fishings, the BRDAA shares and controls part of the fishing on the River Ericht covering some 5.5 miles of the river, on both the Blairgowrie and Rattray banks, according to the map and rota scheme below... Both WGF Guests and BRDAA members may fish above Blairgowrie Bridge following the rota when fishing for trout, salmon & sea-trout. Whoever has the upper beat has access from midnight until 1pm, whoever has lower beat has access from 1pm to midnight, to beats on both banks from the bridge to the top of Tordarroch.
