With more than 73 years in business, Chautauqua Brick has a rich and varied history. In 1948 Arlon Shick and William Bartell purchased the Old Carlson Barn, formed a partnership and began manufacturing brick and block at the current location. Later they were joined by Richard Bartell and Ross Briggs completing the family run business and expanding production to include patio block, stone cutting and block distribution. In 1976 Bill Briggs joined the family business and quickly saw there was an opportunity to serve the construction needs in the community. Through the years Lumber, Plywood, Windows, Doors and Hardware were added. Today Chautauqua Brick offers a full range of building materials for all your needs FROM FOUNDATION to ROOFTOP.
