Mr. Joseph Schuster is President of ERC and an expert on the soils and landscapes of Florida and the southeastern United States. Mr. Schuster has over 30 years of experience and is an author and co-author of several USDA NRCS soil surveys, publications on the classification of soils and chapters in the Hydric Soils Handbook of Florida.
He has conducted investigations of reclaimed and non-reclaimed mine soils, onsite sewage treatment and disposal system failures, soil erosion, seasonal high water tables and impacts of land use on environmental resources. Mr. Schuster is an expert in the identification and classification of soil morphology specializing in hydric soil morphology.
He utilizes existing soil morphology to predict depths of excavation for wetland creation, and monitors soil morphological changes in created and enhanced wetlands. Mr. Schuster conducts onsite quality assurance/quality control for wetland and hydrologic restoration and enhancement projects, including project planning, design, implementation, monitoring and maintenance.
Mr. Schuster is a state certified professional soil scientist and instructs soil science curriculum as a member of Florida Environmental Soil Scientists. Because of his expertise in wetland soils, he serves as expert witness and provides professional consultation in wetland interpretation, mapping, wetland mitigation planning, design and implementation.
He is an expert in mapping of hydric soils and wetlands and contributes to GIS analysis, aerial interpretation, mapping and other related geographic services such as topographic and drainage interpretation.

Mr. Martin Gawronski is ERC Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and an authority on state and federal environmental regulations specifically ERP and CWA 404 permits
Mr. Gawronski has over 18 years of experience in natural resource inventory, assessment and permitting and has cultivated a team of highly skilled regulatory permitting staff.
As an Environmental Manager and Supervisor with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Mr. Gawronski directed natural resource investigations throughout Florida. He administered and supervised all aspects of North Florida programs for dredge and fill permitting, State Lands and marina permitting, including stormwater and environmental enforcement.
Moreover, he has successfully coordinated state and federal wetland jurisdiction teams; processed permitting on residential, commercial, linear, industrial and mixed use projects and acted as liaison between agencies and public or private interests on highly sensitive development projects.

Ms. Ashley Griffin is CEO and founder of ERC and is an expert in environmental regulatory permitting activities, wetland jurisdictional determinations and wetland mitigation bank design and implementation. With over 21 years of experience, Ms. Griffin is the company's key contact with the largest public and private sector clients with whom ERC has a long history of partnership in aquatic and wetland resource assessment and permitting.
In addition to her scientific education, she has participated in numerous Executive Education programs offered by the Wharton School of Business. These include Executive Education leadership development programs in Bhutan and India and intensive courses in negotiation and persuasion, strategic planning and implementation and advanced management programs.
Ms. Griffin is a skilled negotiator who has consistently arranged compromises to the satisfaction of both the client and the regulatory agencies. Under her leadership, ERC has developed a highly qualified team of professionals to service client needs.
