Manuel has been working in the education field for more than 13 years, and has focused on Instructional Design and e-Learning development. From July of 2014 through April of 2018 he worked as the Director of Education of Oro Negro, a company in the Oil and Gas Industry, where his duties included overseeing the training program. He saw an opportunity to implement e-learning in some areas of the company's training matrix. This was a well planned and applied cost reduction strategy that gave great results. The plan included the development of around 50 online courses, all in English and Spanish and included, policies and procedures, safety, and technical related content. In the same context, the implementation of the plan, hand-in-hand with the optimization of the company's LMS, allowed for competence assurance. Manuel has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and has a certification in adult teaching standards provided by CONOCER, a Mexican National Competence System, among other certifications.
