The Indian Association for Crystal Growth (IACG) was founded in the year of 1980 to promote communication among professors, scientists and engineers working in the field of crystal growth... Early of 20th century, Indian Nobel laureate Sir. C. V. Raman fully involved in crystal Physics. Following him, R.S. Krishnan, A. R. Varma, D.D.Bhawalkar, Krishnan Lal, H.L Bhat have been taken leadership for the field of crystal growth. In 1980's, Prof. Ramasamy has seriously taken crystal growth activities in India. In his initiative, Indian association for Crystal growth was formed. Behalf of IACG, More than 100 crystal growth conferences/Workshops are organized in across the India. Now, India has produced more then 2000 crystal growers to across the world.
