JENNIFER L MURPHY PHD

Dr. Jennifer L. Murphy has spent her career specializing in the behavioral treatment of individuals with chronic pain. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University and joined the Tampa VA in 2005 where she was tasked with developing a pain program for Veterans returning from the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. In 2011, she became Clinical Director of the VA's only inpatient Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Program, which tapers participants off of opioid analgesics during their 3-week admission. Since 2020, she has served as the VA's national Director of Pain Management.
